Are you cut out for the job?
In order to be a successful dealer, you need to possess certain qualities that may not be able to be taught.
- Be a 'people person' – If you're going to be successful at dealing Blackjack, it is important to possess good people skills since you are dealing with people throughout your shift.
- Be good with numbers – Needless to say, you must be able to count quickly and have excellent math skills…it's imperative! You must be able to count out chips, handle money, and deal the game quickly and accurately.
- Be dexterous – If you don't possess a high level of dexterity with your hands, dealing Blackjack is probably not the job for you. You must be able to smoothly and quickly deal cards and handle chips with confidence and ease.
Blackjack Dealer Job Requirements
Casino requirements for Blackjack Dealers may vary. However, most casinos will require the following:
